Our dear Mother, Willie Mae Green, 87, was called home to her eternal home on December 25th, 2025. at NHC healthcare in Anderson, SC to be with her beloved Savior. Willie Mae as devoted Christian mother, grandmother and a faithful servant of God whose life was a testimony of love and unwavering strength. She peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by the promises of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Green was born on April 12, 1938, in Anderson County to the late John Agnew and Lizzie Brown Agnew. She was a devoted church member of Bethel United Methodist church where she had many roles but her primarily role was working on the usher board. She was a dedicated employee of Clemson University for 23 years; in which most of her years there; she was a supervisor.
A woman of deep faith, Willie Mae love the Lord wholeheartedly and lived her life according to his word. Her faith was not only spoken but lived daily, guiding her actions and shaping the lives of those around her. As a mother, Willie Mae was nurturing, patient and selfless. She devoted herself to her family, and always putting their needs before her own. Her home was always a place of comfort, wisdom and unconditional love. A true disciple, Willie Mae lived out her faith daily her hands was always busy serving God, her family and her deep love to cook.
Willie Mae was married to the late James Edward Green for 70 years, and who she will be preceded in death with. Also, preceded in death by her parents John Wesley Agnew and Lizzie Agnew Brown and one sister and one brother and her beloved granddaughter.
Surviving her departure with cherish memories are the children: Shirley (Stanley), Janet (Tim), Micheal (Shauna) and Sonya (Dwayne) and six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her children, family and friends and all whose life she touched. Her legacy of faith, love and devotion will continue to live through generations.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Clemson United Methodist Church. The interment will follow at Webb Cemetery. Public viewing Friday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Shirley (Stanley) Hagood, 159 Norfolk Circle, Anderson, SC.
