Margarett Lorretta (Williams) Foggie was born on September 27, 1957, to Alfred Parks and Lillie Williams in Seneca, South Carolina. She departed this life on March 2, 2026, at her daughter's home in Pineville, North Carolina.

Lorretta was preceded in death by both of her parents, her late husband Waymon Foggie, older brother Kindell Williams and younger sister Constance Storne. Lorretta began her career as a security officer for Duke Energy, she would go on to retire from Sneider Electric as an IT systems analyst; after 25 years, she returned to Duke Energy as an Executive Assistant.

Lorretta joined Richland Baptist Church in her younger years in Christ, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, choir member and Youth leader. In her latter years she served as an elder in Kingdom life fellowship. She ended her service to the Kingdom as a devoted member and appointed Elder of Destiny Christian Center. Lorretta also served as Church administrator for Destiny Christian Center— Seneca, SC.

She loved to serve the youth in her community and mentored many young men and women as she embarked on her journey to spread the love and word of Christ. Mrs. Foggie served as a motherly figure to many; it became her passion to feed and sometimes house college students as a home away from home.

Her first love was serving Christ and glorifying the Kingdom in every aspect of her life. She also enjoyed reading novels, sports, and watching her favorite game shows —The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She loved to travel and try different cuisines.
