Lisa Davada (Williams) Rice

Lisa Davada Williams-Rice, age 61, of Anderson, SC, entered eternal rest on February 5, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1965, to the late Claude Odell Williams and Doris Jean Brown-Williams.

Lisa became a member of Thompson Centennial United Methodist Church at an early age where she sang on the choir under the direction of the late Mrs. Annette Jenkins. She attended Westside High School and was later employed by Clark Schwebel.

Known affectionately as Lisa Mae and Henry, Lisa never met a stranger.  She had a heart of gold and her pride and joy was her son, Dezmon. She always had a smile on her face and a word of encouragement for everyone. She was always willing to help in any way when she could. You could sometimes hear her singing loudly and joking in her own jovial way.  If you knew Lisa, you know that she loved herself “a good old cold Pepsi Cola and a scratch off ticket.” She also loved to ask anyone for a cigarette.  

Lisa is survived by her loving son, Dezmon Rice; rearing parents, Wallace and Judy Williams (reared in their home); two grandchildren, Jamiuz Rice, and Dezmon Rice, Jr.; two brothers, Claude Bernard Williams and Russell (Tasha) Williams; two sisters, Monica (Hank) Rucker and  Yoluna "Yolanda" (Mashawn) Webb; nephews, Meshazh Webb, Adarius Williams, Tyran Rucker, Tyrus Williams, and Tay Williams; nieces, Eboni Williams, Daneisjah Williams, and Sheka Rouse; five great-nieces and four great-nephews; her loving friends of Pinedale; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Odell Williams and Doris Jean Brown-Williams; her infant son; her loving brother, Dmitri “Meatball” Williams; her grandfather, RB Brownlee-Williams; and her grandmothers, Dorothy Brown, and Wilhelmina Williams.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  Public viewing will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
